The journey of exploration into of our creativity revealed the existence of a seeming paradox with the simple and true concept of we cannot give what we do not have. One of the most important things we need to realize whenever we attempt to give something or do with or for another, is that we cannot give what we do not have. A corollary is we give what we have regardless of what our mind thinks we may be giving. We must first become and/or have what we desire to give. 0:35 The basic issue The basic issue we face is addressed by the following. Suppose I ask you for one hundred American dollars. If you have one American hundred dollars you have a choice to give it to me. Whether or not you give it to me is not the issue. The point is do you have it to give in the moment you are asked. It is not about whether or not you can get a hundred dollars to give to me. You need to have it in that moment to give it. However, if you do not have a hundred dollars to give, there is nothing you can do to give it to me no matter how much you want to give it to me. If you don’t have it to give, you can’t give it. 1:10 Cannot give what we do not have applies at every level The statement, “we cannot give what we don’t have,” is obvious for material things. We cannot give money if we have none and we cannot give food if we have none. However, we fail to understand, this statement applies at every level of our being. It is probably clear, we know a tree by its fruits. An apple tree gives apples. An orange tree give oranges. You can’t get apples from an orange tree. The apples and oranges come from the essence of the tree and the essence of each tree is different. So too with our being and what we experience in life. This is true for anything in our life and/or we give to another. Whatever we give comes with whatever we have in our selves behind what we give. We cannot give what we do not have. We have to somehow become, be or have within ourselves what we desire to give. For example, if we cannot love ourselves and love ourselves in the way we need to be loved including our bodies where our true needs are nourished., we cannot give love to another. We may give duty, obligation, expectations, an image of what we think love is, but we cannot give love simply because we do not have it to give. If we have it to give we would have given it to ourselves. But this is true for anything we desire. We look for satisfaction in what we desire externally rather than first finding what satisfaction looks like in who and what we are. Then allow who and what we are to create the experience we desire to have externally with another. Alternatively said, we cannot enjoy what we experience externally unless we create the condition internally to enjoy it. Nothing externally can give us something that arises from within. Nothing in life will give us inner satisfaction unless we first find satisfaction within our self We will not find peace externally till we first find that peace within our own being,. 3:07 The seeming paradox It is here we find the seeming paradox. At the deepest levels of our begin is a profound unconditional love, a profound compassion, an innocent creative playfulness as seen in a very young child, and a phenomenal ability to nurture the true needs of another. Whether or not you believe these words they are nevertheless true. It is suggested you do your own experiments to see the truth that lies at the deepest essence of our being. The issue here is we can only give from our essence and what is in our essence. Here lies the seeming paradox. We have it but cannot give it. The issue is we cannot give what lies at the deepest level of our being and share from that level unless we awaken to it and become it. We can only give that to which we have awaken and become. It is like a vast pool of water or oil underground. But until these pools are tapped the nourishing water of life or the fuel to power our life is unavailable. The question is how do we as the unique creative being that we are tap into our own essence and allow it to flow. We cannot give the creative play characteristic of the Source of Creation to another nor can we create the space for another to have the freedom to experience it if we ourselves cannot be it. The same is true for any other quality that comes from the deepest levels of our being Unless we totally surrender mind and its ego to be full alignment with the flow from Source, we cannot give from the deepest essence of our being. This is to align with our life path and the internal guidance we get to be in alignment with our life path we access and flow in alignment with theflow from the Source and the essence of our being. We can only give to the level we have gone. We can only give what we have created within ourselves and with our current mind and what it thinks and judges. We must first create within ourselves the qualities that we wish to give before we can give them. This is true for love, compassion, peace, freedom or any other quality that flows from within into the external world. If we cannot create an unconditional love within ourselves for ourselves and unconditionally love ourselves both inside and out as the unique creation that we are, how can we give that kind of love to another? 5:25 Two questions to ponder There are two question which arise to ponder to explore about what we give. The first question is “what do we have to give?” What do we see ourselves possessing within ourselves to give. The second question is “why to we give what we give?” On this second question it is recommended we pull the string as to why we give what we do. To give anything to another we have to have given it to ourselves, have it, and /or become it. What ever we give, we give what is behind why we give what we do. So the question is why do we give what we give,. What is it we really want when we give anything Donations Donations and contributions can be made through this link
